Cathodic Corrosion Protection System

Country

Germany

Description

Electronic corrosion protection is the most efficient way to actively protect steel, iron, and other heavy metals in conductive media against corrosion. The objects to be protected are connected by means of a metal strip or stainless steel chains and as one metal unit - connected with a cable to the negative connecting terminal of a rectifier. The submerged platinized titanium or niobium anodes are connected to the positive terminal. According to the rules of spreading of current in wide spaces, the current reaches all parts of the surfaces of the objects to be protected, which are in contact with the conductive water, and returns to the rectifier via the cathode cable.
